do you have any idea which car handles better LT1 or LS1? l saw on cobra forum, a guy said that he had 2000 T/A and he had many problems and he had the most important part is, T/A handles terribly. it is not even comparable with cobra.. is that correct? T/A handles bad? well l think my LT1 handles ok..

l just wanted to see what you guys think..

thanks

I wouldn't ever say it handles badly.

Of course...mine isn't stock. But even when it was...it wasn't bad. Just not nearly as good as lighter cars out there.

Hell no... look i had a mustang for a while and all those cars do is slide all over the fucking place. also they are maybe 200 pounds lighter then our car if that. I dont think mustangs handle anywere near as good as a T/A.

And that solid rear axle is the largest piece of shit in the world. When you say handling you are refering to taking turns right? T/A Might understeer but a little wieht reduction takes care of that a mustang will drift out of contol in every corner

True. I am not really that up on the suspension of most cars.

I guess just drive each car and see how they feel.
Pretty sure the newer Cobra has an advantage over us because of the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension).

Thats it right there.... IRS not good for straight line (can get bad wheel hop) But should beat a solid axle on a road course. Now a race setup with a solid axle will close the gap if not surpass a IRS. SCCA T2 Formulas do very well on the track and beat many IRS cars.

well, good info guys.. thanks.. actually the point thtat l posted this thread was, today while l was driving my LT1 l had a sharp turn ( u know those exits 25mph, ver sharp) while l was turning l wanted to see how handles, l speeded up, l reached 70mph, my car's rear slipped and l recovered. and l wanted to know how LS1s and LT1s are.. and l got my answer..

Thanks
