Ok, here is the deal. It just started doing this a couple of months ago. When I am at a red light or stop sign to make a left turn or right, I take off maybe a lil heavy on the gas :naughty: but the car feels like it is hopping. Like the tires are jumping up and down on the pavement. That is the best way I can explain it. When I straighten out it is smooth as a baby's bottom. It doesn't do it all of the time. :screwy:
I have had this car almost 10 years and everything is original, shocks and all of that. I am thinking that new shocks will fix the problem. They are the originals that came on the car and I could see that they are leaking a little.
Just wanted opinions. I plan on getting new shocks and springs in a short while but I need to get brakes and rotors first. I am looking at Brembos slotted and haven't really decided on brakes yet. I am doing some research for the best ones.
Anyway guys and gals any input would be appreciated. Thanks much:grinyes:

John

It could be a really bad cv shaft. You can visually nspect them and see if the boot is broken and if grease is leaking out.

So it only happens when you get on it around the corner?

Its not the shocks, their job is to absorb the oscillations of the spring. Sounds to me like its just some wheel hop. I believe stiffer springs help and prothane engine mounts should help out a lot too.

He's awd i doubt it's wheel hop, like on a fwd car.

EDIT: It could also be the tie rod ends, they're really cheap and easy to replace.
