Hot Integra?

The other day while on my way home from vacation I see this Integra pulling up on me. As he gets closer I notice that the guy has a lot of cosmetic modifications. I am thinking that this car might be a challenge and might beat me; GOOD I have wanted a good race for a long time. I look over his car and it could have been done over better. The front bumper out of place, the springs were obviously cut, and the wing was ugly other than that everything was fine. He also had a NOS and Greddy sticker on the car with an snazzy paint job. He paces me and I look over and honk my horn. He has the usual stuff in the cabin as well as a fire extinguisher and the huge ass tachometer. He looks over and nods at me. We both drop it down and take off. Too bad for him I took off a lot faster. I just kept walking away, and I know he was trying, there was no way he wasn't from the sound of his engine. I beat him to the top of the hill and I felt bad. I was hoping for something with some go not some rice. Either he doesn't have N2O or he didn't use it. I think it was another case of rice, why can’t people do both show and go? :(

To bad he didnt give you a better run. I've concluded that if an econo box has got show, then there is no go. The ones that do are rare to find.

one thing i have notice, most cars that you think are fast, just 'cuz they look fast and have all kinds of stickers are not really that fast, and the ones you underestimate are the ones that kick your @$$... but anywho.. nice race and good kill...

Wow the Germans and their slow 1.8T's.. I test drove an '04 gti, what a complete waste of $24k (msrp) for whoever buys one. My 1.6 n/a Civic is faster than any of the stock 1.8T's, in a line and around the cones.. even your big heavy A4.

I raced a 1.8T A4 from a 65mph roll up to 120 and put a car on him. Not much, but a win's a win. And don't say yeah right, you don't even know what I drive "there" bud.

ok but your saying a 1.6sohc will beat a 180 hp gti and out handle it civics are not meant to be sport cars at all where the GTI is going to be able to do quite a bit better im just saying the GTI is VW's sports car
where a honda civic is just an everyday econobox POS I not saying the GTI is the best car out there but it is definetly better than a civic not you said you raced a A4 1.8T with your modified civic when the A4 was most likly stock 150hp 110whp they loose a lot because of the AWD but if you mod the A4 put about 3 to 4 grand into it you are looking at 300whp 328tq but thats for coming out the bud

My bad, it was an most likely an A6.. had HID lamps ;)

On my way home from work one day I was stopped at a light when a 1.8t GTI pull up next to me with his radio blasting. Until that day I feared 1.8t's because I thought they were fast. He jumped the yellow light and pulled about three cars on me because I wasn't racing at first. After I shifted to second at about 3000 rpm (90CRX/stock b16a) I decided to give it a go. Downshifted back to 1st and took it to 8k - I didn't start pulling him until the top end of second, and blew by him in third gear.

I waited for him at the next light and I was trying to crank up my radio (like he did at the first light) to get my cheap-ass InfinityBassLink to thump, but my remote had worked its way into the back (along with everything else that was loose in the front seat).

He pulled up next to me before I could find the remote, but I'm glad my radio wasn't blasting, because I actually had a pleasant conversation with the guy (I figured he'd be a dick). He was amazed he got beat by a stock b16.

I would estimate the hp/weight ratio would be about the same between a GTI and a swapped CRX, so I concluded that the damn close ratio gearbox on a y1 tranny + 8.5k redline got me past him (that's just a noob theory).

Sorry for the long post.

i don't know much about those gti's but i know a guy who has one, and he gets smoked around here on the street on a daily basis. Maybe he just can't drive it, but i've seen him in it, and it's just not that fast.

uhhh, sorry - My B16's not completely stock - I have the usual CAI/H/E, 8lb flywheel, pulleys, stage 1 clutch, short shifter, Mugen chip - tuned by a guy that could squeeze 10hp out of a turnip.
By stock I meant no internal upgrades (pistons, rods, cam...).

From what I've seen pullies are the cheapest way to free up power on a B16. My buddy has a gs-r with i/h/e and complete pulley set and beats my type r from any mph roll.. All I have is an intake and exhaust.

Its to bad that 300zx got banned I wanted to make fun of him and tell him that 90 percent of Audi's came with Quattro I work for Audi but yea I wish u guys didn't ban him I wanted to make fun of him :loser: and Ricochet if it was an A6 about 80percent of the A6's have the 2.8 witch is 200hp but they weigh like 4000lbs so that does not make your story sound any better:loser:
