How hard is it to turbo charge a 95 escort gt with a mazda engine in it?

You shouldn't have to much trouble finding an aftermarket turbo for the mazda engine pending size of it (displacement, how many litres), first worry would be what materials the valves and piston are made out of most stock production valves and pistons can't handle the heat created when you increase a cars compression ratio, you'll burn them. then there would be the worry of fitting it in the engine compartment. all of these issues would require research. you can still increase your performance with naturally aspirated options headers and an intake, you wouldn't have to worry about damaging your powertrain and an average increase 20-40 bhp and 20-30 lbs of torque isnt to bad. hope this helps.

I want to turbo a 1.9 escort LX, is this difficult it already is a low compression engine.I need at least 200hp

I'd suggest rebuilding it with better rings, gaskets, etc etc.
It'll just make things simpler.

lol. sounds like an old wise tail. Sure you can damage the internals by turbocharging, if the operator does'nt include the proper engine managment. But is that the valves/pistons fault the operator does'nt know what he's doing? Time and time again I have seen people turbo charge there little 4 cylenders and pull double or tripple the stock hp, even with cast pistons and stock valves. Even if aftermarket pistons/internals are used, it can still be blowen up if it does'nt have the right tuning to back it up.

I would love to see a dyno sheet of an Escort gaining 40hp/30tq from a header and intake.

As long as the motor is in good running condition, New rings and gaskets are not needed.
