Universal Cup Holder for Sportage?

I was wondering if anyone had managed to find any sort of universal cup holder or console that would fit in a sportage? I'm getting tired of not being able to see my controls on my dashboard, etc and have been looking for something to replace it. It appears I could take off the top of the existing console and put something there, but so far I've not found anything that seems to be narrow enough to fit there (I measured about 6")

The only thing I did find was a fold down cup-holder that I could possibly attach to the console. I know I could put one on the door in the window, but I don't like that either in case I forget and close the door with a drink in it and spill it.

look in the boating supply stores, they are all sorts of configurations. there is one that clips ontp the a/c vent on the left of the wheel or in front of the arm rest with 2 screws.
