radiator installation question

I need a new radiator and ac condensor on a 99 malibu. The Haynes manual says to take the radiator out from underneath, but others have told me it might be easier from the top. Has anyone had any experience replacing these items?

Thanks

Chad

The Haynes manuals are a poor to fair manual. If you are going to do any work on your Malibu, I would strongly recommend getting the factory manual.
direct from HELM $120+
from ebay $20 - $30 ( just make sure it is from HELM and should be 3 books)

I will look it up for you latter if no one has answered, i am on the way to Easter service.

That is more than likely correct about removing the rad from the bottom. There is a metal bulkhead above the rad, so it can not come out the top. Looks like you will also need to discharge your ac
you can take it somewhere and they wshould discharge it for you and give you credit towards a recharge.
