1999 radiator and a/c condensor

I have to replace my radiator and a/c condensor. The Haybes manual says to take it out from underneath the car. Others have taken it out from the top, but they were not referring to cutlasses. HAs anyone here had any experiences with taking these out? I understand how to drain the hoses etc., but I would rather take it out from the top of the car if that's possible. Thanks
