1996 with major electrical problem

i have a 96 Se with some electrical problems. power windows and locks stopped working, then engine shuts off when put into drive or given any gas. this problem is intermittant. I replaced the ECM last year. car will start but dies when given gas, but the windows and locks stay not working. im assuming that whatever the problem is that the fuel pump is controlled by the same thing that the windows and locks are, therefore they car dies.

Is your carpet get wet at all, possibly a ground issue.There should be a ground beside driver seat under carpet maybe corroded.Just and idea , has happened I read.

yea, thats exactly what it was, i found it on another forum, but thank you. now i gotta find my water leak.....

I had the same problem with a 95 engine dying and found a bad engine ground. Actually ran new wire from block to h frame.
