I didnt even know they made a Type-S in canada. are you talking about the 220hp type-S with all that good stuff?? anyhow I think it depends on your state and the emission standards. I live in florida and have a canadian imported prelude SR and there was no problem getting it legal. However florida has NO emissions. Someone once told me that they bought a van that came from canada(during the time when we had that smog test BS)> the only thing he had to change was to get a catalytic converter installed. Its probably all good though honda is always concerned with meeting smog regulations. I say go for it!!!!!

There is a huge difference between the SR and Type-S. for my model year(3rd gen) the SR is just equivelant to the Si which is good but its just a regular Prelude. the Type-S is the Preludes equivelant the the integra Type-R. it has ported and polished heads, different cams, different valves and valve springs, sky high compression ratio(something like 11.0:1), better intake manifold with larger throttle body, better exaust, and all kinds of stuff. all in all they are incredible.:alien:
