ok well i was gonna pull my motor and rebuild it this summer cuz its not running the best. its a 400 small block from a 70-71 b and g body with 4 bolt mains. its in a 1987 firebird. well i lost oil pressure so i am gona be pulling it two months early for the rebuild. now heres the problem, i have 150 dollars, yeah not so good, im stil looking for a job though so im pulling it now and letting the motor sit till i get the money to do a nice rebuild/build up. so i am gonna take a 350 from my neighbor and drop it in there just to drive while i work and get the cash. just giving the heads up cuz i am gonna be posting pics and stuff of my old motor and be asking some questions because i have never really rebuilt a motor myself. i already have a cam in there heres the specs, http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?show=browseParts&action=partSpec&partNumber=100172&lvl=2&prt=5 - and i am not sure what rods are in there but i have normal rockers and yeah thats really all i know. but what are good roller rockers that are decently cheap? thanks fro reading my book,- Tom

Did you cover all the 'little' stuff before condemning the block?

well i think when i put my distributer back on the oil pump drive wasnt llined up and when i started it it made some aweful noises and i think i killed that hex rod so im replacing it and i might as well take the motor out since i am gonna do it in 2 months anyways. either way im lifting the motor so i might as well fully lift it.
