Engine Light...

My car just peaked over 40,000 miles. Its not a Honda but actually a Daewoo, however that area is pretty dead and I was hoping I could get some advice/help from this side of the forums :iceslolan. I just recently changed the oil in my 1.6L to synthetic oil. After running it for around 600-700 miles my check engine light came on. It was easy to spot the problem when I took my oil cap off and smelled gasoline. Usually, I believe, this happens when the piston rings wear out gasoline leaks threw and gets in the oil, however at the same time I am not burning any oil at all. Im not an expert at synthetic oil as well, so I dont know if it had anything to do with changing my oil to synthetic as well. Im taking it in tommorow to my shop at school to get it scanned, but I wasnt sure if I should try just changing it back to reg oil or not?? - Thanks

Not sure where the oil goes you might have a problem here...Nah just playing dude, but seriously thats doesnt sound good switching back to regular oil is somthing you cannot do after adding synthetic. Deffinitly get the codes run
and see what ur shop has to say I am not to familiar with Daewoo and dont want to point you in the wrong direction.
