3spd auto trans slipping

Yes I searched this topic but I like the answers to be vehicle specific to my car and problem so here it is, I was driving today and when i came to a stop i went to accelerate and it was reving but no going anywhere for about a second or two then it caught and went. It just started today and it has never done it before. I checked the fluid with the car running of course and looked alright to me, the fluid on the dipstick was very bubbly tho and it was kind of dark red, didn't look extremly dirty tho. Should I be planning on buying a new tranny or should i just flush/change the fluid and put a new filter on?

If it wasn't clear it only happens when I'm at a complete stop and after a little while the problem seemed to go away. I just want to know the steps I should take to diagnose the problem before I have to buy a new tranny. Thanks.

Hey i too been having the same problem and got no idea but im pretty sure our tranny is bad because i flushed my fluid and refilled it and still having the same issue
