I am doing some preliminary research here... my buddy has a 3.8 and he's to much of a pussy to go 4.6... but.. he wants me to swap in a 3.8 out of supercoupe thunderbird... has this been done? does anyone know whats involved.... do both 3.8's use the same wireing loom? will the new motor mate to his trans properly..? i'm not looking for extreme detail... I'm just looking to get an idea of the size job. I'm not a ford guy... so i have no idea. he has a 94 mustang 3.8L. Auto. Take me to school ford people...

Yes people have put M90's into V6 mustangs, its much more popular with single ports though. Most people take the M90 and put it on to their exisiting motor since its much cheaper and easier, you can find kits on ebay. http://www.3.8mustang.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142607 is some info on it.

yes it is good to do, that only works if you are single-port though, you will get around 200 rwhp and 300 rft/lbs, if not then he could also look at a 4.2 stoker kit

I have read up on putting the M90 on the existing motor, and swapping in the whole motor and tuning. Is it possible to do a 'complete' swap harness and ecu uncluded? or will that have millions of bugs... I am not finding much info, maybee i am looking in the wrong places...
