2000 Buick Lesabre leaking grease at CV boots

Back with another Buick Problem. While checking under the hood I recently noticed some grease spatter that appeared to be coming from the CV joint boots (the ones closest to the transmission), I crawled under and sure enough they were, on both sides, and this shortly after I had tires rotated!
anyway, I could see there was no hole or rip or tear in the boots, they were leaking very close to the bands that clamp them onto the axel. I purchased a banding tool and 2 bands and crawled back under, (with some very expensive CV joint grease) 8 hours later I crawled back out with 2 ruined bands and bailing wire on the driverside boot to keep it on (I tried the hardest one 1st). I did not remove the clamp on the passenger side, just put a piece of bailing wire on to help keep the grease in. I drove 150 miles today and looked under the hood, YUK!!!!!!!! I suppose the only way is to remove axels and reband boots while off the car. any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, where can I find a book that actually has my car in it?
Thanks
