Alarm

I have a strange problem, so I think. Came home today with the van, got out went inside. Had my daughter come out to try the break lights and turn signals so I could make sure they are all working. She got out of the van and I now have a alarm like it is telling me the key is in the ignition, or a light is on. If I put the key back into the ignition I get a different sounding alarm. Checked all the switches and lights and it still is there. The alarm only happens when the door is open. All the lights are all set to off. If I remember correctly once before we had this, cannot remember what we did to stop it.
Update: Just came back from a drive and found out that the instrument panel and the parking lights are out. Dial for the instrument panel still turns on the inside lights but no lights on the instrument panel, heater/air conditioning. Break lights work, sliding door works, windows (Front and back) work, all inside reading lights work, radio works. The only thing that has been different is that I hooked up a trailer to the van today (first time for that trailer) and ran through all the lights with the trailer hooked up as well. Trailer is now unhooked and is still doing the above.
Thanks,
Mike

Went out and looked at a number of fuses, found fuse 37 blown. Replaced and works fine. Now I just have to find out why it blew, figure the new trailer is wired wrong - so much for new.

You didn't mention what year your van is, but here is a link to what the trailer wiring harness should look like for a 2001 (schematic).
