I've built about 10-20. But out of them only about 9 turned out looking good. The rest have been trashed.

Must be more than 30 :) since I started building kits when I was about 9. Most of those kits were tanks and military planes, which in turn got blown up some time or another.

:D

Recently built 7 kits in about 3 months. The more recent ones turned out better than the earlier ones (for obvious reasons) :)

I would be guessing at least several hundred for me, likely more. I did my first one when I was 6 or seven and havent stopped building since. I have a hundred or so unbuilt, and about 50 built that have survived a couple moves and general mistreatment. My first one was an `82 Trans Am (it was a brand new kit back then) and i tried to paint all the parts after I built it.

I've built 7 metal models, I finishsed a 1/24 Tamiya model, and now I'm working on a 300ZX. I have about 20-25 models that have not been finished.

Gee,I guess 3 or 4 hundred since the 50's. I've "lost" several
collections over the years ! I have about 50 built up and on display another 50 or 60 packed away awaiting more display areas and about 150 unbuilt ,and thats not counting diecasts !!

Because there aren't very good model selections here, besides Revells, AMTs & Tamiya...Not many good kits of Japanese cars, and I have been to a site and seen the selection there....Its alot better for Japanese cars...I was thinking an Aoyishima Soarer & Maybe a Hilux lift-up. Being only 15 I dont have a credit card to order over the net if your wondering. At least I can get SOME afttermarket parts, mufflers, wheels metal accesories etc here in Oz

My friend is going to Singapore, in about 2 months or something. Do you know of any good model shops in Singapore that my friend might be able to visit? I mostly need accesories & my friend wants models. Any help would be great as we really wouldn't know where to go/start.

first car model was a 67 impala SS that was on sale for 5 bucks at payless. i just bought it on an impulse since im kinda an impulsive person. i did an ok job i think for a first timer and i was 10. i painted the engine bright neon orange. second was a shelby cobra which sucked ass. i use that as my practice car for painting. i just find an open spot and paint on it...haha. next was a porshae turbo..older one.. and then about a year ago i got a z3 and did so horribly that i just went all out on it with a hammer in frustration..aaaand... my latest was the ever so popular revell integ type r. best model ive done so far.

so ive done 5 models total in the last 7 years. modelfan1 you better watch out im gaining on ur 500 fast!:sun:
