Replacing ignition switch...

I have a 98 Pontiac Sunfire 2.4l that is the cause of great anxiety due to the inability of getting the key to turn to start my car. It seems I have a defective ignition switch. I've tried pressing down on the brake while wiggling the steering wheel side to side while turning the key and it works...after 5 agonizing minutes or so!! My problem is finding any kind of useful information regarding replacement of it. Do I need to disable the airbag to remove and replace the switch? There has to be a step by step walkthrough or something of the like SOMEWHERE on the web. I know someone has it...help a brother out! Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.:banghead:

Yeah man, that's fantastic. It turns out I wasn't looking for the right thing. What I actually need is VEHICLE SPECIFIC info for the Lock - Ignition (Cylinder & Keys) assembly. Sorry for any confusion on my part!

Sorry for any confusion on my part! You want to change the key ignition key cylinder correct? that is there also , if you can`t find maybe buying a haynes manual would be another option. 12.00 to 15.00 bucks and good info on all the other things that screw up on these throw away cars.
