Integra ECU?

Hey everybody, I heard I could get better performance out of my 90 Civic EX if I swap in an integra ECU, 89 I think, I was wondering if this was a good idea. They said it had a better fuel map to give more gas and better performance. Is this true?

It will provide more fuel due to the more aggressive maps that it runs on. You might want to get a fuel pressure regulator or fuel computer to trim some fuel since it will run pretty rich. The computer will run a lot better with other mods...ie intake, header, exhaust, cams...etc. You won't see huge gains by just swapping the ecu.

I'm in the process of ripping my old D16A6 out, the bottom-end is gone out of it but before I drop the new one in I plan on some new mods. Here's what I've decided on so far, maybe you can tell me if I'm running in the right direction. AEM Under drive pully kit, AEM adjustable cam gear, AEM Fuel Rail, AEM CAI, DC Sports header, and custom 2.5" exaust to a APC Intimidator muffler. Any other suggestions or will this set-up blow up in my face? This is the first real honda I've owned and I dont want to mess it up, I will admit my ignorance on this. Those parts are what have been suggested to me.

Sounds like a good basic bolt on setup. You will see some gains but nothing extreme. In order to get a lot of power out of a honda you need to do a serious normally aspirated setup, turbo, supercharger, or nitrous setup. Once you start modifying you will never be satisfied. I know I am never satisfied. After trying to mod my original d15 with bolt ons and realizing it was still really slow I decided to do a motor swap. Two motor swaps later and I am looking at either a serious n/a setup or turbo setup. Overall your setup sounds good but don't expect huge gains. Good Luck

Within the three months I've owned it I was only able to drive it three weeks before the bottom-end blew so as it sits, I'd just like to be able to drive my civic :D then I'd be happy. I had been thinking about a nitrous setup but I dont know whether to go with dry or wet or what size to get. JCW SportCompact has a 75hp dry system for $499, anybody used this or is there a better (possibly cheaper) alternative?
