intake ????

ok i bought a short ram intake for my 98 civic dx the box said that it will fit 92-00 civic ok my ? is that when i put it on do u have to remove the whole stock intake to install the new one cause i tried to put it on without it and didnt work, i had to leave that big blk box at the end and it looks ugly anyway i could fix this stupid problem???

yes you take out the black box from the old intake ...

I can't remember but doesn't the dx intake come off the motor pointing towards the sky and then bend sideways? The ex intakes come off the motor sideways to begin with. I'm pretty sure you got the wrong intake if you still need the black box on there.

Anyways, you need to do research before you buy anything for your car, just because it said 92-00 civic doesn't always mean it does. People that make cheap car parts don't really know anything about cars and the differences on them. So just do some reading and look at what will fit your car, look at the shape, angle, and length of things and use your best guess before shelling out cash.

well i bought it in auto zone and it was an aem intake and is just not bendable or somethin it just came wit a pipe and filter i tried to put it in the manifold or whatever its called but the pipe is not ment to hook up like that i told a guy in meineke and he said its like that but i dont believe him cause every other car dont look like mine stupid intake. is there like an adapter or somethin that i could buy??????
