Diablo in action

I made this just cuz the other (jabba videos) is too long, especally sence its not even about videos anymore. People post here.

I like them, they are neat and go fast, really fast. I dont like how expensive they are, and in thus will probally never own one. But I can still drool over like I do to many many rich women and other cars. Yes.

What are we gonna see in this thread then ??...presumably all the home movies of Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Skylines that are not in my thread I presume ??

Why are you so mad that another AF member is trying to make it easier to find videos of these cars? :confused: It seems like the last four pages of the thread you started are posts from people who cannot find nor access your videos... T.V. is just trying to help out the fans! :smoker2:

I was just a bit p***** off that someone was hijacking my thread...

How would you feel if someone was posting YOUR home movies on their thread and then slagging yours off ??

I cant really see the problem with my thread being so long....nobody is making you read it all.... are they ?? You only have to read the last few pages for the current video action anyway...

I do agree with you however that nobody mentions the videos...this was my point all along....everybody complains they cant download the videos....then they do download them....and then we dont hear a peep out of them....

I'm not sure if the moderators can turn an existing thread into a "poll" or not, but adding a poll to your thread is the easiest way to get responses. Maybe they are shy & don't want to post... Or, they are really giving their opinion via their silence...

Oh, to expand a little, what I was expressing was the capability to add polls (or link to them) that ask detailed questions about the videos... not just "want more?" Maybe find out which video is the most popular, and how many people were able to watch them all the way through.

What type of compression software are you using Jabba? Perhaps making smaller files might eliminate the user problems?

I have had plenty of emails praising the videos...and mostly positve comments from the poeple who have posted.....poll running at 36/3 and I know where the 3 no votes came from...purely through spite from the now banned 007apl...

I have used various compression formats as I am undecided which is the best ??? large file size or bad quality which would you prefer....and before you mention DIVX 5.0 not everybody has fast machines..

btw..did you download the videos yet.....and if so what did you think of them ??

Yes, 007apl was a "character" for sure! Can't say I miss him...

I would be the last person to recommend DIVX. Proprietary plug-ins are not favorable with the masses. The best I've seen is RealMedia, but again, you have to download a "proprietary" player which not all viewers can do, and some don't want to do.

I downloaded one video, expecting to see (as you said in your first post) the nuts "thrashed off" your Ferrari 355. What I saw was an unidentifyable driver carefully motoring up & down his/her street. I've seen hotter action here in front of the Police station as I raced a grey Maranello. I was disappointed, to say the least, at the "action" in your video. I applaud your efforts to make AF more exciting, though... but I guess I am spoiled by all the action I see over here. I could go on further, but I suspect that my opinions will be seen as flaming by some nameless individuals.

Sure I can accept CONSTRUCTVE critism but I think you got a little confused along the way ..but anyway here is a CONSTRUCTIVE answer....

there are videos covering various aspects of the cars...inc a suspension lifting demo of the Lamborghini...this is incredibley boring to watch...but I knew it would be of interest to some AF memebers so I videoed it anyway and hence positive comments for Sick_spd here

The video you refer to I presume (80mb) is to demonstrate the sound of a tubi exhaust system...and obvisouly it helps if only that car is in the video so you can hear it properly...btw I have had only positive comments on this one if you read the thread properly...as everyone else understood the purpose of it properly

also I went down that road at 55 mph in first gear (9,000 rev red line) 2nd gear 70 mph...and then reached what is known here as "the end of the road" and couldnt continue any further otherwise I would have "crashed" and had to use my "brakes" sorry to dissapoint you but thats the way we drive in England...

the track day video is rubbish (dont bother with it) try 17 mb lambo vs ferrari....if you think that is crap also...then please send me a home made video (made with analogue cam, no special equipment etc) that you think is good.....

Think I am gonna stick various versions up mpeg/divx5/mov/RM/wmv up so poeple can decide for themselves

Dont suppose you videoed you racing the Maranello did you ?? would love to see it sometime if you did !!

I understand, I didnt mean to hijack it, I just wanted to start a new one in hopes you or anyone else would start on it so I could be there from the begining, 18+pages is alot to read. And I have had my home movies riped, and dissed. I just laughed, because they took the time to rip it, they must like it at least a lil.

I would PM the post, but I dont have it, it was a rather upset post in reply, so no point in continuing the course of hostilities (sp).

Bty, I do plan on making a video of me pushing my car to the limits, hopefully sometime next week. And first in my car, at 5.5 redline is 60mph :bandit: Very wide ratios.

Ok no problem but that thread is about my whole life... right from the very first car I ever got...and worked my way up to my current collection...

So I cant really start my life over again...but most of it is pretty good..and useful for me to store my pictures there also..in case I need to email them to someone quickly...

Hahaha!!! Jabba you are unique... you have the ability to "hold your own" and not get upset at anything. I admire that.

I have heard many Diablos in this area (Newport Beach, California) so perhaps I was a bit "jaded" and wasn't amazed by the exhaust note. It is one of those things that you have to experience in person. I was inside a building when a Diablo (with Tubi) was idling outside. The windows rattled... and it was a NICE loudness (not like the drag racers that just hurt my ears).

As for evidence of my driving adventures, I try not to keep any. See my signature.

Ahh I think I understand the problem now....that is an old Diablo video and I agree its very poor..I have had the silencer box removed now..and its alot better...

Please download my Ferrari video and tubi exhuast and you will see why I thought you were being a little harsh on it....a case of crossed wires I think
