its front wheel drive, 2dr hatchback, 4a engine (front to back) 5spd manual trans, got the same dash as the all famous AE86

anyone know what it is (it would be fun to find another one to fly around in (on a track, not the street)

The picture is a little fuzzy but I must ask, is it carburated or fuel injected?

that website ive been to before but it doesnt say anything about this car. (its FWD but it has a front to back mounted engine *not transversed)

its like a weird retarded child between the RWD corrola's and the FWD corolla's...

You are mistaken. Car is RWD.
That is a 1984-1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 Hatchback.
Vin number should either begin with: JT2AE85 or JT2AE86.

Car has a 1.6L SOHC Carburated engine, known as 4AC.

If you think that car is something, you need to try a GTS model with the famous 16V 1.6L DOHC EFI 4AGE engine. Car runs wonders between 4K - 7K RPM utilizing a TVIS (Toyota Variable Intake System) where four out of the eight intake valves are closed at the low RPM operation range .

LOL
I hate to say it, but why don't you jack the car up and look... no doubt it has a rearend. Heck, you don't even need to jack her up, just look... you'll see the housing, thirdmember, driveshaft, the whole nine yards.

Take pictures too.

Trust me man, I had FOUR of these cars.

BIG Difference.
The Celica Supra was Toyota's championship sports car, top of the line.

I'll list some of the main differences:

MKII Celica Supra:
- 12V 2.8L I6 DOHC EFI engine, 5MGE
- Independent rear suspension
- 7.5" Rearend
- Standard 1way LSD
- Rearend gearing: auto, 4.10 5speed, 4:30
- Famous 14"x7" rims

AE86 Corolla GTS:
- 16V 1.6L I4 DOHC EFI engine, 4AGE
- Solid rear axle
- 6.7" Rearend
- Optional 1way LSD
- Rearend gearing: 4:30
- 14"x5.5" rims

There are a lot more differences, but some of the stuff is like having more standard equipment for the Celica Supra.

you must be a real dumass the car is infact fwd. it appears 2 be 1 of toyota's fwd prototypes cause they sold few of the cars using the fwd tercel drivetrain
