My driver side power window has been broke for awhile. Took the panel apart and found out i need a new window regulator. Online the best i can find for a new one is around $200 bucks. Dont wanna go with an old one. Anyway i called up a place near me to see what they charged to get the part and install it.....$670! wow. They said the part cost them $400. Bullshit. Anyway i was just gonna get it for $200 and try to install it myself. Has anyone done it? And is it easy to do? Thanks.

quoted from someone on 3SI
"pull up the window by hand. fold over a rag a few times and put it on the edge of the window and use a wise grip to clamp it down or have someone help you hold the window up. dont clamp it too hard though.

remove the 2 nuts holding the rail the glass. then remove the 3 holding the motor to the door, remove the 2 holding the frame to the door. take everything out, and replace it. you will have to twist thing around a bit to get things into position, then screw things back. its not that complicated."

so it doesn't seem to be too hard, i've never done it so i couldn't tell you its "difficulty" level, but it seems pretty easy none the less
