Yup...you guessed it.
More pics.

The ride isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am sure it will progressively get worse until I get new struts/shocks.

Sorry about some of the pics...starting to get dark and I didn't adjust any settings.

Still needs tuned and my fuel pump is on backorder right now.
Otherwise, an alignment and she is ready to go.

Suspension isn't that hard if you follow the directions and go in order.

I must have missed an earlier post- what exactly did you do to it?

Mr. Luos

Eibach ProKit springs, UMI torque arm, UMI panhard bar, UMI lower control arms with relocation bracket, subframe connectors.

Damn that would make an awesome poster. Probably the only better picture I have seen of a trans am was in car and driver magazine in 1997, black trans am, red highlight when the picture was taken. The caption was "The other red meat" or something like that.

Hmm, it kinda sits too low for my tastes. It still looks nice, but any entrance way will kill that car.

How much did you lower the car?

Mr. Luos

1.2" rear
1.5" front

So far I haven't hit anything. And I back out on those sloped curbs.

Nice!

Did you change the stock rubber bushings?

Not too long ago I went through a similiar upgrade my '84 T/A. eibach springs/ kyb shocks and struts, edelbrock panhard bar, lca, and a pst front end rebuild kit, subframe connectors and wilwood 4 piston brakes all around. (I'll replace the torque arm after I decide what rear axle I'll upgrade to) Now I'm reading a chassis engineering book that states that polyurethane bushings are bad to use for performance. (after the grease works its way out they stick and chatter and make for erratic handling. one should use heim joints, del- alum or nylon bushings with grease fittings, etc..)

Just curious as to what you've done with the bushings on your car, if anything.

I don't have too much trouble bottoming out, either. My biggest issue is getting a floor jack under my car now....

I'm getting the car prepped for an '02 LS1/ 6 speed install.

Soon. As long as I still have the old wheels here.

Complete alignment goes on tomorrow morning.
Dyno tune goes on next Wednesday.

when l drive my car, if the road is so bumpy, l feel everything.. even a small bump feels like a HUGE bump to me.. is it the same on LS1s too? or your car?

l mean somthing is wrong with my system or this is normal for f-bodies?

They are stiff suspension cars.
Mine is kinda bad right now because I am stressing out the stock struts and shocks.
Although I really expected it to be worse.

Just got home from getting it aligned.
WAY off...better now.

Anyways...it was raining. Normally don't take the car out in this, but it needed the alignment before anything else, so I dealt with it. Cleaning it again tomorrow.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd are worthless on a lightly wetted road. :icon16:

Mr. Luos

I don't show it that much.
Good looking car, but really nothing sets it off from the 'show car' scene.

Mine is more brute force than show.

I have everything but lowering springs. Having a rearmount its not a good idea. I can say that the car rides slightly harsh then stock but it handles like a mo-fo. Luos knows what I mean by that...you can actually gas the thing coming out of a turn w/o worries. :grinyes:
