She is gone for good

Ok guys and girl. I am finally letting her go. She has giving me way to many speeding tickets and i can't deal with it anymore. I am gonna sell her and pay off some debts and if i have any left over, buy a bike. I know what oyu are thinking, if i get tickets in a del sol than i am doomed on a bike. But i just feel the urge to have one. Anyhow what do you guys think is a good starting price. Take into factor the rarity of the B16A3 and the fact that it has a fresh paintjob, slipstreams, and a LSD trans with only 35,000 miles on it with a chromoly exedy flwheel and ACT hdss clutch freshly installed. Look at my mod list for other little things she has done. I know that no average joe is gonna buy it for what i want to sell it for, but i don't want to sell it to an average joe either. KBB is 3,000, then i factored in the rarity, trans ($1600.00), Clutch and Flywheel ($780.00), since they were all done recent. I figured it would be nice at $5,500...what do you guys think? Is that too high or low? Remember this is going to be sold to someone looking for this kind of car....Interior is perfect and she just hit 150,000 the other day.

I think $5500 is very fair for that car. Sucks to see her go, though. I suggest putting it up on importatlanta.com (I know you're in like NC right?). You might also want to look at putting her as close to stock as you can get her (sell aftermarket parts for stock parts plus cash). It will help you recover some of what you've put into her.

Well, i still have all my stock parts, but i kinda want to sell her as is. I know i'm not gonna sell her to anybody off the street. But i know there is someone looking for this kind of car and that is who i want to buy it. Here are the pix...sorry it took so long. I've been crazy busy.

What shiftknob is that? Any more pics?

I work for acura and its actually a shift knob from a 3.2 TL type S that i drilled and tapped to fit. It looks really good and factory. Sits lower than the stock one too. I do have more pics...let me know if you want some more...pm....

Boo, you're selling it. :( Wish I had the money - I'd buy it. I just paid mine off three weeks ago and finally got internet two days ago. I wanted a second Del Sol to turbo eventually, not that I have any room to park it hear but I'd make it happen, dammit.

Hope you get a good price for it and that the next guy/gal takes care of it. The Sol's a dying breed.

LOL, i already have the wheels spoken for with a guy at work, and as for the floormats, they are the only ones i have, but you can get them off ebay for about 70. Everyone keeps wanting me to part her out....i couldnt stand to dismember my baby!

well, the only ones i can get for free are the ones that customers replace for upgraded oems. So pretty much anything that comes in a stock acura i can get, but i can't get say the RSX aluminum ones, because that is what the customers are trading their stock ones for.

well the stock ones go for about $79.00 And then i have to drill it out, remove the chrome bottom, and retap it. So with all that in mind, i could probably get one to you for $65.00 not including shipping.

Thanks for the comment and Good eye. I bought it with a D & D exhaust on it already. The thing was in major need of some lovin when i got it. Had to replace the gauge cluster, rear rotor, front and rear pads, foot pegs, side mirrors, brakes lines (SS) :)....Front and rear spockets with chain(went down a tooth in the back, only to find out it was already down a tooth...oh well) LOL and here is the worst of it all...after all that work, along with the standard plugs and tune up, the head started making a loud ticking noise and all along the bike would kick out of second gear under a hard load (bent shift forks). So i took the valve cover off and found that one of the valve hats had seized on the valve. Since the trans comes with a new engine, thats next in my book. Pull the motor and throw a fresh one in. I learned looks can be decieving, as its definately been a lemon. But hell, after i put this new motor in it, shes practically a new bike after all i have replaced!....oh my...i have to laugh to make the anger go away. :)

Sorry about the pic. I went ahead and put some more up while i was at it. It's a 97 CBR 600 F3. Well, the odometer said 12,000. But i think it was older than that. Its got one peice fairings on it, so the speedo may have been changed out as well, who knows. I drove it a little this weekend, damn i miss the thing, i gotta hurry up get a new engine.

So you planning on swapping the motor out yourself?

yeah...it shouldn't be too bad. A weekend project at the most.

Ok, one more update. (this thread is getting long and away from the point, but oh well) So i finally put the motor in the bike for all that care. It actually ended up being a week process as i had to get a new front tire, straighten the front wheel, paint the wheels, paint the swingarm and other various peices, replaced all the wheel bearings, installed new levers and handle grips, installed a new headlight bulb, and prolly something else i am forgetting. Like i said, this things almost a new bike now. For all the money and time i have put into her, i could have almost had a brand spanking new R6. mmmm. But it runs like a champ now and i can't complain now that it is finally all said and done. Anyhow, here are some pics. i've added a few other little things here and there like the side mirrors and whatnot as well. Enjoy.
