WTF - overheating / leaking coolant...AGAIN

2nd time this has happened and I don't know why. First time happened after putting a new header on, this time just came out of no where. I start my car and I head to work and my low coolant or low fluid light is on but the gauge isn't reading that it's over heating. Also looking at the coolant resovoir(sp) the level of coolant is where it should be. I get out of work later on and the light is still on. Now the needle starts to go towards the red so I stop and buy coolant I fill it up, I take it home i try to burp out the air if theres any, I've already replaced the thermo on the passenger side the last time it did this which was like a month or so ago with an autozone thermo, a high heat one I believe and the problem went away. But of course it's back and my car is losing coolant and over heating, it seems like it's leaking out the resovoir cap even tho it's on and also there was a suction/gargling noise towards the driver side of the radiator? I'm seriously contemplating just bringing the p.o.s. to a shop and getting a whole new cooling system because i can't take this any more but if it's something minor or whatever, please help!

When you say "Burp" the air out, do you mean just removing the reservoir cap?
The only way to stop the gurgling noise is to "Bleed" the air out of the system by getting the engine to operating temp, shutting the engine off, then opening the bleeder screw slightly until all the air escapes and coolant starts to runs out. The bleeder screw is on a tube that runs across the front of the engine from the passenger side of the radiator to the fire wall on the driver side. It may take 2 to 3 tries to get all the air out - run engine a few minutes, shut it off and re-bleed the system.
If you've done this and still have a problem, you may have an obstruction in you radiator, or the Thermostat may even be in backwards. The pointy part should be facing towards the radiator.
