Advice on quieting open headers!

Ok, so I finally got my car all built and running good. But I am running open headers and cannot afford a dual exhaust right now after all the money I just dropped on the engine and mods. It's loud as hell and I am trying to find out what the best mufflers are that I could bolt on for now that would reduce the noise by a considerable amount. Thanks guys. (1983 camaro with 383 stroker and hedman longtube headers)

Race mufflers will lower it some.

Without dropping a good amount of $$ though, you probably will just have to be loud.

Hey man! Sounds like an awesome car! For the money, a good set of 3 bolt header glasspacks should do you for a little while. Their cheap too!
