Dsmlink Vs ecu+
ive been doing research on both http://dsmlink.com/ and http://ecuplus.com/ and i seriously cant decide. Ecu+ does not need an ecu, plug and play. anybody dealed with ecu+ before?

Well if you do not have a EPROM ecu do it and let the ones here know how it works. That would be the cheaper way to go. I paid $605 shipped to my house for my dsmlink from dsmlink.com of course and ,my car allready had the eprom ecu in it.

I say dsmlink all the way, but if you prefer that go for it and let us know.

Honestly this is the first i've heard of it. Try searching tuners and see if anyone has any reviews. If you don't have a tuners account i'll look for you just let me know.

dsmlink is MUCH better. first off, you can change it without sending it back to them. To tune with ECU+ you still need an SAFC for the minor changes to get a really good tune. DSMLink does everything and more, and you can change the settings as you wish

my friend ran ecu+ in his talon and he loved it. It has a built in maft to. And crunchy, he didnt need to send his out every time and he didnt have an acf either. I'm kind of thinking megasquirt myself

DSMLink all the way... The support and knowledge out there for DSMLink beats ECU+ and Megasquirt by far.
Megasquirt blows... Why would you get that when there is DSMLink or AEM. Yes, AEM is more exspensive but again, almost everyone that tunes cars is familiar with AEM. Very few people know megasquirt and the support blows compaired to anything else.

well from what I've heard first hand from users of ecu+ is that the support is awsome and they would use it over dsm link any day. I myslef have not made any decisions as of yet

ECU+ is practically an AFC. Still piggyback. Though I do recall it may adjust timing after the ECU. I've posted about this before, and forgot more about it that I know about DSMlink, so if you can find those older posts they may be helpful. There is no way in hell it is better than DSMlink, though I reserve the right to be proven wrong.

It doesnt have a built in dyno. It just calculates how much power you have by what you log just like DSMLink does. A dyno measures TQ and calculates HP.
