Stolen '02

Someone smashed the drivers window and stole my fathers 2002 Taurus. He knows this because of the glass left behind where is was parked. Since it has the security chip in the key and he had the keys with him, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how they were able to drive it away. Worries me about my car.

They could have towed it. Broke in to put it in neutral and then put it on a flatbed.

real crooks can bypass stuff like that. security features only make honest people more honest.

pretty much only repo men use flatbeds to take cars away. and then they have lock picks and dont need to smash the winders to repo.

the security key only prevents people from breaking the lock cylinder and starting it that way, they can still be hotwired if the person knows what they're doing.
