I have a 90 Lumina 3.1 Euro. I was wondering, the gas pedal sticks a little bit and I was wondering what possibly the problem could be. My first guess is the throttle positioning sensor. Also when i slowly accelerate, it doesnt gradually accelerate it like jumps between levels and I was just wondering what the problem could be........

Check the throttle body for wear on the main shaft. If there is side to side play, the bushings are worn out and it will bind. It could also be carbon buildup inside teh throttle body. Gumout makes a specific cleaner for multi-port injection throttle bodies that will clean it out. Do not use regular carb cleaner, as your intake plenum is designed for air only and flammable cleaners sprayed into it could cause an explosion.

Cable could be fraying too. If your TPS was that far gone, it'd be causing performance problems.
