If my car was lowered 1.75" would 17"x7" rims scrape?

If you have low profile tires they shouldn't. The thin of the tires should make up for the fat of the rim.

I was planning on using low pro tired so i had the same outside diameter as stock. I was just worried about them scraping since they are so much wider than stock tires.

If your gonna use coil springs just lower them till they look good...

I can get 1.75" drop springs and shocks for $299, so I was planning on using them. The only thing about that is they are Jamex, and I dont know if they are good springs or not. If I could get coilovers for not too much more than it would nice, but money is definately an issue.

I just put a set of 17x7's with 205/40 tires and sitting factory height the wheel has almost three inches of clearance

You shouldn't have any problems. I have 16*7,5 with 205/45 tires and olso lowered springs and I have no problems with it

I guess I am the only one having problems with 17's. I installed 1.5" Sprint springs and the right front tire rubs on the outside. I have ICW Racing wheels (17x7) with Dunlop W10 205/40 on them. I am selling these wheels if anyone is interested. $550 w/ tires. I live in the U.S. If you want them, pay for shipping and the $550 and they are yours.

Just be sure that you get the right offset.. It generally isn't the rim size that gives the biggest problem with rubbing, but rather getting the wrong offset. Be sure to get a 42 or 45mm offset.

I had a set of 15" rims with a 38mm offset and they rubbed, I upgraded to 16s with a 40mm and they can tuck if need be.. Never rub.

make sure after you get ur rims and ur suspension installed to go get an alignment, cuz if your camber or toe is out of whack, then the tires will rub also.

Thanks for all the help. The rims I'm getting are the Nippon Evoluzion 17"x7" with a 42 mm offset. If everything you guys say is right, than I should have no problems with scraping at all. Thanks for the help

WOAH!! if you're only dropping 1.75, you shouldn't need a camber kit, so don't waste your money!

Also, if your tires end up rubbing, just roll the fenders (it's hella easy). You should only have to do this on the rear tires. Here's a how-to on it...
