I have read a couple times about a 2.7L stroker for the 4g63, but I have never been able to find anything on it. Anyone know anything?

What is with people asking about a 2.7L 4g63. This is going around the net the last couple of weeks. There is no possible way you could make a 4g63 a 2.7L. Cant bore the cylinders out enough, the deck hight isnt tall enough, and you wont be able to rev higher than 5500-6k.

I've never heard of it. It would be cool if it was possible but as said before you can't bore that much, and with the 2.3 stroker i think you are at the limit of stroke increase.

You can make a 2.0 4g63 a 2.4L just by boring it out a shit load and putting in a 2.4 crank. The difficult part is finding someone with a torque/bore plate big enough to allow that.

You'd have to sleeve the cylinders and that probably wouldn't be worth the :bananasmi :bananasmi :bananasmi :bananasmi 's

The 2.4L strokers are built on the 4g64 block platform and a 4g63 head is put on them. ;)

Yeah, never seen a 2.7, just read about it being an urban legend, didnt find anything in any of my searches, and thought I'd ask.

If a stroked 2 liter is 2.3/4, then a stroked 2.4 could be 2.7. But I do not know of any crank that would allow for this, of the lower end of the 2.4 block would allow that much more stroke. Complete crap, but still fun to dream about ;)
