I have a 86 S-15 2.8 V6 4x4 and I would like to put a 350 4 bbl on it. What are some good manuals and can they be found in Canada?
Anything that would help please commnet (ie what should the engine come from, tranny, transfercase, etc)
Thanks

A good salvage yard interchange would be a good place to start.
The best I remember the 2.8 v6 had a different bolt pattern on the back than a 350 chev V8.
Good luck MT

contact Advanced Adapters and summit Racing equipment (1800 230 3030) both based in the states, but those are the only two companies i needed to contact for my 98 multiport swap (harder to do then a controlled fuel leak swap), youll need some moter mounts, e fans, probibly the conversion radiator, 305 maniolds from a late 80's camaro or firebird with the 2 1/4'' outlet, not the 2.5'', a lot of beer and lots of time, and roughly 2500 usd (includes good used moter)

You'll already have the 2.8L motor mounts that most people use. DM is the athority on the subject.
I couldn't find an adaptor for the transmission to engine bolt patterns, so you'll probably need a transmission as well

I would look for an S-10 with a 4.3 tranny in it, and take that tranny
4.3 and 5.7 have the same bolt pattern

you need a 90 degree bell housing tranny which is a 4.3 or a small block
