Help ASAP 87 civic-stalls when i'm driving

Okay when i start my car it takes 3xs for me to start in the morning then will be okay untill i have to start it again if the car is park for about 3 hrs. Tried to start car this afternoon it happends again, then when it finally start i get no more than a street corner car had slow down and wanting to stop press the gas & wouldnt go & finally stops on me. Please help me I will not take any of my cars to a shop because they messed up my transmission on my other car & since I'm a girl they always find ways to take my money & guy friends arent around to help me right now.:frown:
