Yeah, another can I win thread

Alright, theres this local forum I just signed up on less than a week ago. I was out cruising 2 nights ago and came across a 05 C6 vette, we eventually caught a light, I tacked it up and launched (knowing my clutch was on it's last leg) at the top of first gear the clutch just completely let go, and slips anything over half throttle now.... I go home park the car and goto sleep. Next mornig I'm on that local forum browsing users rides and see what I think is the same vette living in the same general area. I made a post and asked about it, and it turns out that really was him. I told him what happened and asked what he had done to it ect.. He said he had nothing done to it and dyno’ed at 339hp right after he got it. After I get my clutch in he wants to go at it again, my mods are as listed...

He's dynoing over 40whp more than you, and he's RWD. You will get off the line faster, but I'd count on him catching up real quick. You wont be able to hold him off through 3rd.

The guy siad his dynoed at 339 i think. Don't the C6 vettes have that thing like the RX8 where it wont give you all the power until you break in so many miles.

Bah, alright, I'll probably still give it a try. If it goes down I'll bring this thread up and let you guys know how much I lost by.... lol

^^^ I actuall thought it was 400bhp. Either they have tranny's with no resistance at all, the crank hp is underrated, or they dont in fact have 400hp at the wheels. You decide....

Morphius are you thinking of the Z06?

It will be very tough to beat a stock C6 on stock turbos. You really need upgraded turbos to beat one. He'll have the advantage otherwise because the stockers fall off as they approach redline, and you will need some that can hold 15 PSI to redline.

im with igo. if you drop it, youll take him off the line, but he'll get ya before too long.

Um, they are lighter, have a better suspension, and more power. I wouldnt be all that surprised if you barely pull on him on in the launch. After that you are screwed.

Yeah, I have been reading up some more.... I know I won't get em but still want to see what will happen. We talked again, after my clutch gets broken in were going to go once from a 20 roll and then from a stop.

Have him race you for 60'....hahahaha
