Audiobahn DUB200

I need some subs to put in my new car and someone on another forum is offering 2 Audiobahn DUB200s for $85 plus shipping. Here is a link to an eBay site with all the specs and some pics:

I read the ratings stickey and it says Audiobahn is average. Is this still true? I had some Rockford Fosgates and was wondering if these will sound better or not? Also I read in a post that these sound better ported rather than sealed is that true?

Audiobahn is less than average, some of their products may be considered average, but I have a hard time with that. Give us a budget, you'll get alot more for your money.

Well I could get the pair for $100 total and don't want to spend too much. How would these compare to Rockford Fosgate P1s do you think(which I have now)?

I'd prefer to buy things off eBay etc to save money and not from the manufacturer.

These will be louder than the RF P1's. My cousin has the RF p1's and they are ok. I have had my Audiobombs for 4 years with no problems.

Can you tell me more about these?

I was just on there website and saw they're having a sale 12" are $75 and 10" are $55. Which one would you reccomend if I were to be getting 2? Also it says reccomended power is 250 W but RMS is 350 W. How much power would you run to it?

Just saw in my local paper some guy has 2 Eclipse 12" subs and a Phoenix Gold amp. I'll call tomorrow and get the specs and model # on them. Then you guys can tell me which is the better deal.

BTW: He's selling them for $350 OBO.

Guess that stuff in the paper got sold it's not there anymore. So if anyone can tell me about the quality of the AA Assasins I'd appreciate it.

AA stuff is supposed to be pretty darn good. I'll be buying 6 of there 6.5" mids here pretty quick for my next project...

an what project is that? AA is very good quality, great customer service also. The 187's would be awesome too, good call.

New mains for my dorm/home setup...

Most likely going to be three per tower, 2.5cubes 45hz, and a Vifa XT25 tweet crossed over at 2.5khz.

Or just two per tower and put a pair in my truck, not real sure yet, but the mains are gonna rock....

RE RE's are good drop ins for JL w1v2's

Assasin's are really efficent too, i would actually put them up in the class with a w3v2 as far as output, ive yet to really get to analize the SQ but i have no complaints at all. In my experence with them they sound AWSOME.

Get what you can afford. Give them as much power as you can w/o destroying them thermally (over 350w RMS) or mechanically (giving them lessthan 350w RMS but giving them enough to bottom out or kill the suspension)

they could almost stand to have a cast basket, very strong motor structure.


Another good suggestion ive seen is the 187's. i have no first hand isntallation experence, i can tell you they are loud as phuck for the price.

Sweet. I'ver heard w3s and if I can get that quality for half price I'm definately getting these. I just need to sell my car quickly and get the money before the sale ends.

187's are being redesigned/built right now. New ones are sapposed to be inching up on the old LI's which allready are loudas phuck. New LI's are sapposed to "Skull Fuck" as noah puts it.

however Incrimnator is an SPL bassed company. Their subs arent very musical IMO. Ive heard a few set ups and thats it though. Ascendant, on the other hand, are geared for SQ/SQL guys and Home Thatre.

What do you guys think would be better 2 Assasin 12s or 1 187. I can get 2 AAs for $150 and only 1 187 for $150. I really don't wanna spend $300 on subs.

You're joking... "Audiobombs"? Jesus Christ.

Listen to Fryman. AA makes fantastic subs and they will sound worlds apart from anything you're looking at on eBay. Anything from Audiobahn is trash and not even worth spending money on, I don't care if you're on a budget. Spend the extra $55 on something worth advertising as you drive down the street blaring rap.

Oh, do you mind sending me those Assassin's, Fry? I'd like to have them.

So I just sold my car and am going to order my AA Assasins 12s on Monday. What amp should I get to run 300-350 W RMS to each sub? I'd like to keep it under $125 if possible.

ehhhh, gonna be hard to get 400-600 true watts for lessthan 150-200...even harder thing is that is has to be at 2ohm :)

as close as i could find, and that is ebay. That is what im running on amanda's system. Only im using the front two chanels for the Coax's and the rear two for the subs. Even with only 55w the subs still make the license plate rattle and the trunk lid dance. :)

So if I were to get that amp I would bridge it and be at 340 RMS @ 2 ohms for each sub right? Is that a pretty high quality amp?

the profile would be like 150w x 2 @ 4ohm

not a real big difference output wise, and both amps are overrated. I have no experence with profile but from my readings Hifonics watts > Profile watts.

I'm going to buy my 2 subs on Monday. I'll keep looking for a perfect amp while I build the box etc. Hopefully by then I'll have more money.

What would you rather have: 2 12" AA Assasins 350 W RMS each or 1 12" AA Arsenal which is 750 W RMS

Price difference is $75 x2 for $150 total or $160 for the Arsenal

I think the 15 would be out of my price range at $210. I think I'll just go for the 2 Assasins then. I'd rather have 2 12" than 1 and the total power output together is about the same.

2 assasin 12" Displacement Capeablity: ~1.5l

1 Aresenal 15" Displacement Capability: 1.73l

besides a greater displacement capeablity, you also get a stronger motor and more power handleing :)

And more power handling means more powerful amp which means more money. It ever ends!!! This is a tough decision damn it.

you dont have to match amp and subs power specs perfectly. :)

buy the sub, put it on a weak amp you have lying around, wave, buy good amp. you then have a good sub stage
Or buy the sub and let it sit on your bedroom floor for a month or so while yo usave for an amp :)

yep, better off to save and buy something worthwhile the first time. It's cheaper in the long run.

Just wanted to let everyone know I finally got my Assasins in today and they look pretty sweet. I can't wait to get a box built and hook these babies up.
