stupid thing will start fine,then you can drive it for a couple hours sometimes days,then it will spit and sputter then die,then it wont start.I try next morning and it starts again!kinda acts like its starving for fuel? HELP PLZ!!!

any check engine light/codes stored? Have you checked fuel pressure with a guage when it dies? How long has it been since you tuned it up? We need more specific information.

I have recently tuned it up. but thats the thing,it wont give me a code and the check engine light only comes on once in a while,but not when its acting up!not real sure how to check for fuel pressure.is there a way to check the fuel injectors for clogs?somebody said check coil packs?????

Being that it's a 95 model, you need to check the Emissions Certification Label under the hood and see if your car has OBD-I or OBD-II emissions. Read the label toward th bottom adn it shoudl say something like "this vehicle conforms to all EPA emissions blah blah blah for the 1995 model year for the OBD-I or OBD-II emissions. The reason I ask is the proceedure for pulling the codes is different between the two.

it says obd l,but I took it to auto zone and they couldnt even get a code either,seems like one of the wires is missing or something.when it does run,when Im taking off it seems to have not much power,then all the sudden it like surges with power.

A 95 with OBD-I requires a special scan tool that A-Z doesn't have. It has a 16 pin OBD-II style ALDL, but not the correct pin placement for their type of scan tool. You'll have to take it to a shop to retrieve the codes.

yeah,I had to break down and take it in to get fixed.I kinda wanted to see if it was something I could fix myself,but I cant figure it out.thanx for the useful knowledge though!

Not sure yet,they still have it there. I found that the vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator was broke.not sure if that affects it or not,but it must be there for a reason.Dont understand why they use that chinsy plastic hose crap anyways.And of course they just had to put it under the plentum of all frickin' places!I had to get the intake gasket replaced anyways,so I guss it worked out.Also,somebody said the little plate thing behind the coil packs could probly be bad,but wouldnt it not run at all then?only thing left I personaly havent checked is the o2 censor,and thefuel pump.But like I said it still runs so?.....:banghead:..... appreciate you checkin back though!

The cracked vacuum to the FPR is definitely part of the problem. Don't start replacing expensive ignition components until you know if the vacuum line fixed it.
