Ok guys here we go again, I have a 93 s-10 blazer 4x4 4.3 vortec, after driving it for about 30 to 45 min. I seem to have no power the temp runs at 210 to 215 allways. Ofcourse I also have this infamouse carbon build up problem. what is causing all this carbon and how do I get rid of it. and why do I seem to be loosing power more at higher speeds than lower.

thanks for any info you can provide.

Try the tune up in a bottle trick for the carbon build up.

Take a spray bottle, fill it with water, take the air filter off, start the Blazer and spray the water into where the air filter was.

It'll suck into the motor and basicly steam clean the carbon right out of there.

Use about 1/4 to 1/2 a bottle.
Put your air filter back on and your done.

I recently did this on a Jag, and you'd swear that it had a full tune up done.

Do you think this could be the the reason I have no power.

OK I tried the water in the intake to remove the carbon but seems I still have no power. Any more sugestions would be apreciated.

I was wondering, Did you let the engine get to full operating temp before you tried decarbonizing your engine?

Also, when is the last time you did a tuneup?
