a couple of weeks ago i replaced my timing belt and the first time i put it on, i started the car *when the timing was off a little, like 2 degrees* and it ran like crap. so i reset the timing belt. now the timing is perfect as far as i know. now the car wont even start. could i have messed something up with the timing just being off a little? what could be wrong here?? any suggestions?

Do a compression test. I'm not sure if 2 degrees is enough but you may have bent valves...

i will do that tomarrow. thanks. ill keep you posted on how it goes. OH YEAH!! when i started the car with the timing off, i did hear a clank noise, but at the time i thought it was a pulley making noise....i bet that was a valve i heard. definate compression test tomarrow.

eeek sounds bad. I'm sorry but it sounds like you will have to rebuild your head.

I'm betting some valves went bendy-bendy. Have fun with that.

LOL! yeah i seriously doubt you had exactly 150 across the board? there had to be at least a LITTLE fluctuation.

I'm still banking on my first assumption that the valves went bendy-bendy.

Ok this may seem like a stupid question, but you're lining up all the marks right, not just the cam gears?
