Full Body Dropp?????

:stormzap: i have seen alot of people talking about full body drops but yet i am still unable to succesfuly find a correct way to complete a body drop. can some one explain to me how to succesfully complete a body drop. i am trying to do a body drop on a revel integra and a cevy s-10:bonghitte

Wouldnt it be as easy as just snipping the suspension?

yea but just cutting the suspension doesnt give you a lower car than a full body drop. but i know on trucks u have to do a full body dropp. and im here to figure out how to complete a suscessful body drop on cars and trucks

Its a little bit harder to do a body drop on an ITR (No actual frame). The only thing that you could do on there is to cut down the top of the rear suspension components and the front suspension components. If you cut them to much, you might have to cut the wheel wells or make new ones. Someone else will have to help you out on the S10. Just from my experience after putting 4 ITR's together.


You could just cheat and leave things out and glue the tires up into the wheel wells. No one make fun of me, I've done this and it looks alot cleaner.

On a truck, dropping it is usually simple as flipping the left and right spindles on the front suspension. On the rear, you can reverse the axle position on the leaf springs. I have a good example on my website of a custom silverado: http://www11.brinkster.com/theninja/sg/index.html


As for cars, I assume the same can be done for older muscle cars that used leaf springs, but for the newer models with indep. rear suspension, you might need to make some thought-out adjustments there. If you ever cut away, do it little at a time. On my custom truck, the front stands a few cm higher than the rear. I really wish it was the other way around since the stock setup for trucks makes it higher in the rear for towing.

what about notches on trucks. i have seen people talking about notching the suspension on trucks especially on ssm .

Notching will work plenty in actual life, but the way the suspension on models is somewhat bundled, you could have trouble.
