I have a '98 Intrigue that only gets about 17 mpg. I rarely have a heavy foot, maybe once per tank I'll wind it up a bit. This is around town, she rarely sees the highway, haven't had it very long. I bought it off my father-in-law and he's very good about upkeep, gave me the history & it's very current. Only has 54,000 miles.
Also, it does leak quie a bit of both motor oil & tranny fluid. I got under it & tightened all the pan bolts that I could get to. Is this a known issue?
Thanks.

I have a 43.6 mile commute each way and get between 25-27 mpg. When I keep my speed around 65-70 mph, I have gotten 29-30 mpg. I have 113k miles on my Intrigue. I bought it used at 61k. Mine does burn oil about a quart every 2k-3k miles. The worst tank I have had is 20 mpg
