V8 in 1994 88?

Wondering if anyone has seen this or done this. I'm bored and want something to do and wondering if this could be done. My reasoning for this is, there is this 'car club' in my town that sits in a Meijer parking lot with lights on there cars and they are just lame. They always want to race, I think they are just 'posers' and talk big. I'm sure my V6 could whoop their cars but I kind of want to surprise them with something bigger and I think it would be sweet to have a V8 in a '94 88. Any ideas or suggestions will be taken.

Thanks.

No, you can't. No, no one has bothered to attempt something so harebrained. No. Just no.

Look, you're probably a nice kid but you have an odd idea about this engine swapping bit. Unless you were to rip the complete guts out of a cadillac FWD or an Aurora, this would just be impossible. Yu would probably need custom machine work of all sorts to make this work and some serious rewiring, new exhaust, new or adapted subframe with the correct mount placing. Then the transmission, the 4t80e that comes with the northstar may, or may or may not bolt to your 3800. Are the pinouts for the solenoids the same? TCC? Temp sensors? Which would you use? You'll need the new PCM, that won't match anything on the old car..... ect ect ect. The mere fact that you ask this question tells me you can't do it. Especially with such a flimsy motivation (show up the car club guys??).

Just go pick up a vortec centrifugal, chop a power bulge in your hood and have a calpack reprogrammed to suit. Better yet, go buy an old, lighter car for this sort of wanking and use the olds for something constructive. I recommend a 70-77 datsun Z. YMMV.

I suggest using a Vega or a Monza to build a sleeper a small block fits down in them with some mods unless you can find one that came with a V8 in it. And still keep the stock appearance.

The reason I posted this up is because I'm looking to add more power. I posted something a month or so ago for suggestions for power increase (perferably cheap) and got no responses. I've pretty much given my car a tune up in the last few days. New plugs really help. Just did that an hour ago and I took it down the road and man oh man, it was flyin', for an olds. Its got lots of power, but I want more.
