98 century radio problem

I just got a 98 century & the radio only works when the lights are on. This is the factory radio. Any ideas? Thank you!

Welcome to AF!!
This sounds like someone removed the radio and changed the wiring by connecting it to a switched source, the headlight circuit. You may want to check how it is wired.
