Not the final model yet, just some in progress pictures. :D
I have to sand, prime and paint the nose again because there was a difference of tonality in certain parts of it compared to the rest of the body.
All fluorescent red parts are decals. With some (lots) of patience and the help of Micro Set/Sol we can achieve great results. Apart from the nose I just have to glue the missing parts (all painted) and apply the rest of the decals.
More pictures to come.

New update.
I’m having the same problems I had with the Brabham. :bloated:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/479042MCLAR_05.jpg
The decals with 10 years are very fragile and break in little pieces.
There was no Micro Film in any store so I have to do this “puzzling” process. :(
Here is a picture of the project so far.

Looking good so far, The MP4/8 must be one of the best looking F1 cars ever.
My FW13B is coming along nicely, the decals were easy like you said:) .
Not had too much luck with my 312T3 though ... the molding on the body is really bad and I have had to repair it, which is taking time.

Hope you finish the MP4/8 soon, cant wait to start mine, just waiting for the Marlboro decals to come, then I'll start it :D

I agree with you, the MP-8 with is pure lines is one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever.
For my the most beautiful and originals were the cars from the 70’s, when there were no such big restrictions as they are today and the designers had more freedom to create, now they look almost a mono chassis championship. :bloated:
Really nasty defect in your F312. :( Not usual in Tamiya kits.
In all this years I only had a missing mirror in an Escort RS Cosworth and a Michelin tyre instead of a GoodYear in a Lotus 79.

looks great Gainsbourg. how do you get the seams between the colors on the body so..... seamless? do you sand it down after you remove the masking?

Yep I agree, Tamiya should make more classic F1 cars. AT least they have re-released some like the T34 and the Wolf. :)
The 312T3 was a shock, I have never seen such bad moulding on a Tamiya kit.
