Hey,

My turning signals in my car won't light up at all or make any sound. I thought it was the fuses ( so, I changed them) and then I was told its prolly the relay switch (nope, nothing changed)

Has anyone had this problem with this particular car, is there anything else that could be the problem. This just happened out of the blue and has been really finicky to deal with.

Any info would be super ninja cool!

Do you hear the flasher relay clicking at all??

Do the Hazard lights flash?

Clicking sound: nope.

Hazard lights: yes.

...any idea what could be causing this?

When you replaced the flasher or fuse, did you take a test light to actually make sure you had power there?

With the hazards working, we know that current is getting to the lights. That just means that you have a problem with one particular circuit. First thing to check is to make sure that the fuse spot has power on one side, put in the fuse, make sure power is at both sides.

Then, activate the turn signal... and make sure you have power to the flasher... again, on both sides.

It looks like that power flows from the fuse box, through the flasher, then to the turn signal switch, then to the bulbs. If you have power to both sides of the flasher, then you either have a bad wire between the flasher & switch... or a bad switch in the steering column.

It can't be a bad ground... or the bulbs wouldn't work at all.

Good Luck, Electrical demons are no fun at all:banghead:

BTW.. Pick up a Haynes manuel, there is a handy Schematic in the back detailing wire color codes and where they're going. It'll come in handy as well if you end up tearing into the steering column.

changing the turn signal switch in this car isn't too difficult. Already did it on my 92' bird.
