Anyone have a sourde for this part, I can find the coolant temperature sensor, but not the Engine Coolant Termperature Sensor (The sensor that sends the signal to the PCM to acivate the cooling fans).

2001 Elantra 4 door, AT. I have a part 39220 22010 that is a sensor assy-water temp but when I pulled the existing sensor (at thermostat housing) it is a three pin and this is a two. My service manual shows two sensors side by side one being the coolant temp (gauge) and the other being the engine coolant temp sensor (PCM signal to fan relay), this car only has one sensor in the indicated location. Was there a running change and hyundai went to a one sensor three pin. Can you help me solve this conundrum.

In '01+ Elantra's there is only one sensor. In '96-00, there are 2. The 39220-22010 is the coolant sensor for the computer in those years, but not for an '01+. The number you need is a 39220-38030, which does have a 3 pin connector. List price on it is $16.98. There are 15 dealers in Virginia that have it in stock, so whatever one is closest to you more than likely has it. I can sell it to you at a discount, but after shipping charges, it'll probably be more than what you can buy it locally for. Here is the pic thats in my catalog.

Thanks for the help, really aoppreciate it. My Haynes (good but not great) manual shows the two sensors and I gussed a running change made that one.
