I had a japanese foreign exchange student at my house a few years back and as a gift, he gave me a painting that his father drew (the dad was an artist or a caligrapher). Anyways, the son did not know what the drawing said or represented (i think it is written in classical japanese). can anyone translate this?

thanks!

It is an apology from the artist to his mother, because apparently he got drunk and had sex with her dog. Or possibly her coyote, the translation is ambiguous.

I don't know what the Japanese characters mean but the first picture has the word "kotobuki" (written in english). Kotobuki means longevity or a long and prosperous life. Japanese have many symbols for "long and prosperous life".

...So maybe he screwed his mom's coyote so he could have a long life?
