O.K. this first one is a little weird.
I was scrapping old intake manifold gasket off of the engine block and went to change blades on the scraper and ... oops... i dropped a razor blade down the distributor shaft hole! I could see it right down there next to the oil pump gear and grabbed hold of it once with a telescoping magnet but it fell off before i got to the top and I couldn't see it any longer. Since I can take the disctibutor out without removing the intake manifold I re-installed everything and turned it over. I can hear that oil pump gear turning against that razor blade real well from the drivers seat. Any ideas on how to get that thing out of there?:banghead:
Also, I need to reset my timing by twisting the distributor cap. The book says that I have to disconnect the electronic spark timing in order to properly set the timing. My truck is TBI but there is no electircal connection under the relay cover like the book says. Any ideas??

You are going to have to remove the oil pan to get the razor out. Your truck is the same as mine and they moved the timing conector mid year '94 it is under the glove box inside the cab, still brn/blk wire.
