I have a problem with my accords brake lights. the "BRAKE LAMP" light on the dash came on the other day when i started the car. thats the one under the door open display on the dash. i checked to see if my fluid was low or the brakes where locked. there fine. but.... the brake lights in the back are out. only the brake lites. all others work(backing, turn signals,ect).. I cant find what fuse it is to check since none of them are labeled BRAKE lights. if anyone can help i sure would appreciate it. i was also thinking it could be the brake switch. the one by the brake peddal. tell me what you think.

Check taht small plastic thing on the bottom of the pedal that presses down on the brake switch. Many times it is broken, and is a cheap fix.

Igovert, you're kind-of repeating a post I often respond with. But if that part breaks/wears out, your brake lights don't turn OFF.
It could be your brake light switch, but until you've checked the fuse, that's a waste of money and effort. I presume you checked the bulbs? (Sorry - can't help with the actual location of the fuse).

Fuse 25 (20A) is the fuse for the brake lights. It also powers the horn and the key ignition interlock solenoid. So if your horn doesn't work or you can remove your ignition key when the shifter is not in park, then its probably the fuse. It should be located in the under the hood fuse box on the passenger side. What could cause the fuse to blow: probably the horn or something in the brake light circuit.
