i have a civic SI building a 1.5 SOHC motor with head shaved and putting in a bullfrog racing cam and the valves need to be really adjusted now i thought the cam was supposed to be bigger so that means less valve adjustment right? i can do it but im afraid of the valves coming apart because there isnt much thread and isnt a cam supposed to be bigger to gove more power the things are wider but not taller i need an answer on the valves plz getting done today and i dont want to add problems

You have to adjust the valves to the specs that the company (Gude) gives you for the cam. If you didn't get any specs from them, you should contact them and ask what they recommend.

it is being adjusted to the company specs
the valves are really being adjusted i mean like a lot is it normal? will i still get the power i want without worrying about valve coming apart? the stockj cam is higher than this one but the racing cam has thicker slots so the valves stay open longer but not higher is that normal?
ok and the head i have a civic CX head is a CX head Diferent from and SI head im talking 88-91 heads here becasue the cam is for a 1.5 Si and i have a CX head could that be my problem?
