oil in wrong spot

hey all,
was gonna take a talon for free, cant remember year like 92 or 93, its all wheel drive,and turbo. any way it had the head gasket replaced about year and a half ago, (my wifes brother drove it) any way hes an idiot aND beat the crap out of it. but it wa sreplaced and a few month later it started to over heat again. so they parked it. it sat about a year not being touched till last weekend. i got is started and everything, let it run, then was gonna add some antifreeze. started dumping it in. and it started gurgling like normal, so i squeezed the top radiator hose and jet black oil came oozing out the radiator fill. is she screwed? the bodys not great and somehow he bent both back rims. i just wanted it to drive back and forth to work cuz it got good gas milage, and the all wheel drive in winter for snow. should i tell em to take it to dump like they planning or could this be an easy fix?

The car doesn't sound worth the time.
Oil in the radiator could be a few things, one being a head gasket. Given the history of the car and driver that seems likely. Doing this fix would require some work. If he's really been beating and overheating the car, I wouldn't be surprised if the block is a little funky and warped, which might be another reason why HGs have been replaced numerous times before.
Oil in the radiator means there's a breech somewhere between the two fluid sources, so try and find where. A compression test might be handy, but low compression could be due to lots of things.
From my personal experience, working on a car that was someone else's toy is a nightmare. I mean, like, not worth it.

Depends on how much money you want to spend on it as well. I agree with the previous statement that it could be the headgasket.
If you have the money to rebuild it, you could have yourself a nice little car. Even if you just rebuild the motor to stock specs.
If the car is free, your best bet is to rip the head off and see what is going on. Worse case scenario you just part it out.

oil into the cooland can be 1 of 3 things. 1, headgasket. 2, cracked head. 3, cracked block. if its the headgasket I would replace it but as far as the gas milage goes, I wouldnt hold my breath for anything above 22mpg highway

Hey if your just gonna try to drive it till it dies there are a couple of products out there to seal it up a bit. One of them is called block sealer and there is another that is used to seal up a hot water boiler that works well too. I know it sounds funny but it may help you out for a bit anyway. I used it on a jeep I used to have and it worked till the crack got bigger, but i realy abused the thing.
